Iceclaw watched Ravenpaw before turning back to his Clan. The other cats looked bewildered and confused and kept glancing toward the area Ravenpaw had gone, wondering who she was. It was obvoius to the other cats that Iceclaw knew her, but their conversation made almost no sense to any of them, except Whitepelt. He had know a lot about Clan culture and had pain close attention to Iceclaw's conversation. And Whitepelt, slightly confused looked up to Iceclaw.
"Iceclaw, we aren't Clan cats, yet you speak to her as if we have been for some time. You only told us you planned to make us clan cats moments before she came." said Whitepelt.
"I know, bu that doesn't mean that she needs to know. Take charge will you?" asked Iceclaw before jumping down from his rock and following Ravenpaw. Whitepelt was Iceclaws equivalent to a deputy and Whitepelt had taken on the responsibility very well.
"Ravenpaw," said Iceclaw, approaching her. "You may not be able to understand me, but I have reasons. Sometimes I don't understand myself, but I can't leave this place. It's my home now. MireClan could have been my home, but those stupid cats decided they had enough cats already." Iceclaw growled at his own mentioning of MireClan. He had slowly grown to hate them as he had stayed with the rouge cats.

Ravenpaw looked up at Icepaw and glared at him. She had needed him, and he had rejected it. Her only assumption now was that, no matter how much he said it, Icepaw would never be a 'Clan' leader if he didn't move back. The journey to the Lightning-Stuck Sands would be very long, even further this far back, maybe taking even a day or more. If they didn't believe in StarClan anyway, he would be a leader with only one life. The idea seemed rather strange to Ravenpaw. No matter what, she didn't want to talk to him right now. "I'm sorry about MireClan, but have you ever thought about it from their perspective?" Having lived with them, Ravenpaw could see it clearly, but could he? She turned away and lay down, glaring at a blade of grass.

"Their perspective?!" cried Iceclaw. "What is there to see? They refused a potential warrior! And now they will pay!" he growled and stalked back and forth. He knew they had been wrong to refuse him. They had no reason, he just knew it. They could have used him. And then he would not have had to stay here. But he had, and now he had his own Clan and now MireClan was going to pay for refusing him.

"Yes, their perspective Icepaw" Ravenpaw shot at him, turning to glare at him, not caring what he thought. "Don't think I'll be biased either, I'm angry they didn't tell me the truth, but they have a story behind it too. Maybe its hard for you to understand, but you were the apprentice of a Clan that had just been wiped out, not a kit. You would remember the Clan. How would they know if you would be a faithful warrior of MireClan when you knew in your heart you didn't belong? You could turn on them because they weren't your Clan, run from battle and cause them to lose a fight. How could they know? Some cats would think it wasn't worth the risk. I know one thing though, I will fight against you if you attack the Clans, cousin or not. I love them more than I love you." Ravenpaw was quite tiring of all the speeches by now, but she wanted to get her point across. She needed Icepaw to come with her, but he didn't want to. She hadn't imagined it would be this difficult. Maybe a little, but not this much. She hadn't wagered on him having his own Clan too. Why couldn't the loners become cats of BreezeClan instead of ClawClan? Would it be so hard? Icepaw's first name could even change to Claw, in tribute of the Clan. Ravenpaw doubted it would happen. She began to wonder why she had left. If she had stayed, Ravenpaw would probably have her warrior name by now, and that made her mad. She had come all this way to save the Clans, and wasn't getting anything out of it. She might never get her warrior name at this rate, and she had been so close to the ceremony in MireClan too.

"No." said Iceclaw. "I would have been loyal to them, and I told them that. But they didn't believe me. I won't sit here arguing with you. I'm not going back." he growled. And with that he turned and stalked back to his Clan. He wasn't going to argue with her over things he was never going to do. MireClan had refused him and they were wrong to and he was never going back to the clans unless it was with an invading army.

Ravenpaw watched him head back. She decided right then there was no point telling him MireClan had no way of knowing he was telling the truth, he wouldn't listen. She turned angrily to leave. Ravenpaw dashed away, going quite a good distance before she stopped. There was no way she could make BreezeClan on her own, and it would be a humiliation to return to MireClan now, and she would never be as loyal to them anymore. She didn't want to hurt the Clan she had been loyal to so long at all. Ravenpaw knew she wouldn't be going back to MireClan. There was only one thing left to do, go back to Icepaw. No matter what he said, Ravenpaw needed to convince him.
With that thought in mind, Ravenpaw started to head back, it took her longer to get there, as tracking her trail took longer than just running. She had finally gotten back when she saw that a commotion seemed to be going on. Confused, Ravenpaw crept closer, trying to here what was being said. Over the uproar, it was hard.

When Iceclaw returned all the cats were in the circle and they watched him as he entered. One of the cats stepped forward and addressed Iceclaw.
"We don't want to be clan Iceclaw. We like our lives this way." said the cat. He was a young brown cat with black flecks on his back.
"I won't accept this." said Iceclaw angrily. He didn't want his leadership challenged. "You can leave if you don't like this. I won't risk my plans on one cat."
"It's not just one cat." cried a cat near the middle. "I don't like this either!" soon all of the cats were shouting about the clans and how they didn't want to be one.
Iceclaw backed up a few paces. His clan was turning against him. He would have to leave. It was the only choice. The only way he would be leader was if he could make ClawClan, but they would leave if he made ClawClan. He was the newer cat here, the leader too. But his clan had turned against him. So with that Iceclaw, now Icepaw, turned and ran off through the forest, away from the rouges. He could be their leader no longer.

The moment Ravenpaw had saw Icepaw stepping away towards her, she had fled, terrified he saw her. After a while, she realized he must not have. She wasn't really sure what the commotion was about, because it had been hard to hear, but Icepaw had backed off from his Clan. It confused her, but she soon heard the sound of someone approaching. Fear shot through her before any other emotion, and she jumped away into a concealing patch of grass, peeking out to see who it was.

Icepaw dashed into a clearing and skidded to a stop. He looked around, wondering where he was. He didn't travel around this area much and he didn't recognize it at all. Then he caught Ravenpaw's scent in the air. "Ravenpaw?" he asked slowly, looking around the clearing.

It was Icepaw. She wondered what his problem was. Ravenpaw stepped out of her concealment. "Problem?" she asked him, "I thought you hated me and were going to live with your Clan here. What are you doing back?" There was no reason for him to be back, but it gave her hope. She might convince him yet, and that was her only goal.

"Well." said Icepaw. "It turns out they hate me more than I hate you. I don't have a choice but to go back. Looks like your getting your BreezeClan after all." he said, breathing heavily.

This was surprising. Ravenpaw hadn't realized he hadn't really started a Clan already. If they hated him so much they turned him out. She had hoped she could convince the rogues to come with him, but it seemed not. "Are you sure none of them respect you? If even one of them wanted to come, it would be that much more helpful." There was at least one cat that respected him, wasn't there? At least one cat, maybe even two, that would come with them to a new Clan, BreezeClan? Maybe they even could name it ClawClan, though Ravenpaw could think of many names she liked better than that.
Ravenpaw sat there, wondering if there was anyone. She found it hard to imagine Icepaw hadn't earned the respect of a few of the rogues. Maybe some would follow him down here, offer to make a Clan with them, even if it wouldn't be much of one with only a few cats.

Icepaw shook his head. "I don't think so." just then he heard a rustle in the bushes behind him and he lept up, turning on the spot. The a white cat stepped out of the bush. "What about me?" he asked. "Whitepelt!" said Icepaw happily. "You'll come?" he asked. Whiepelt nodded and Icepaw looked a Ravenpaw happily. "Maybe I was wrong. I can't be sure anymore."

Ravenpaw nodded at Icepaw, looking over at Whitepelt. Maybe he would join them, but were there any others? What bothered her more was if they could even do this. Certainly there was someone else that respected Icepaw? It didn't seem like there was. Ravenpaw hated the thought of going back with only two other cats, it seemed foolish. Even more foolish was that she was an apprentice, she shouldn't be doing this. She should be in MireClan, having her warrior ceremony now. But it wasn't going to happen, if Ravenpaw was lucky, she would eventually be a warrior. At the moment, it seemed that time wouldn't ever be happening. Without a leader to give her a name. It was hard for Ravenpaw to think of Icepaw as a leader. She would probably be better than him, and she was still an apprentice. Neither of them were really fit for it. It worried her, but she didn't know what to do.

The sound of pawsteps could surely be heard to the small cluster of three cats a few seconds before a dark-colored tomcat came into their view. Depthshadow came to a halt at a small distance from them, bright yellow eyes surveying each of them in turn but coming to rest on Iceclaw. "You wouldn't be thinking of running off without me, would you?" His voice was deep, though not extremely. Obviously he was confident in what the answer would be, for he sat down, and nonchalantly gave his chest a few quick licks.
