"All right. All right. I'll go help her. But Willowpaw -- you go back to the camp. Bring as many cats as you can. If you bump into any others on the way there, you can send them over, too."
Alone, with the prospect of facing who knew how many MireClan cats with his only ally being Flametail, at least until the apprentice got back to camp and sent some help to them, Aquafrost didn't have to hide the fear that he felt. With his fur fluffed up, his ears back, and his eyes wide, he streaked north along the border...
... and slammed right into an unfamiliar cat, knocking both of them over. Struggling back to his feet, he recognized the smell from border patrols he had done. MireClan!
He suddenly thought of something -- "I am the Blue-Furred, Red-Eyed Eater! Run away!" He yelled, while gazing around for Flametail. After all, he hadn't been to a gathering yet, so none of the cats from other clans would know that his blue fur was merely dyed.
But Flametail wasn't here. And, further along the border, he could hear very faintly, if he strained his ears and it was quiet -- like it was now, the yowling of cats fighting. He took off again, dodging around the other cats -- must have been a whole patrol of them.

Duststar snarled at Flametail as he felt he claws on his snout. He lept at her, trying to claw her back while keeping his underbelly covered at the same time. He saw a blue cat streak towards him out of corner of his eye, but he ignored the strange cat and continued to fight Flametail.

Willowpaw nodded to Aquafrost and hurried back to the camp. The cats behind her seemed to have lost her for the moment and she ran in desperation, praying someone would be there. SHe finally reached came and fell, exhausted, trying to look around and see if anyone was there. She needed to take anyone that was back to the fight. But she was so darn tired... It felt good to just lay there...
No! She couldn't! Her Clan needed her! Jumpign up, Willowpaw tried to move, but she swayed over and fell down. She struggled up again, refusing to give into her fatigue, stumbled forward another step, then fell again and lay there, defeated. She compromised with herself. A short rest, then back to the battle. She wouldn't fall asleep, though. Willowpaw looked around, seeing if anyone was at camp.

Rainfall looked up in surprise as the apprentice stumbled into camp. The young cat looked quite distraught, Rainfall wondered what was wrong. He leapt to his paws and padded toward her, he noticed she was breathing hard and looked exhausted. Willowpaw, what's wrong? You look as if the whole of TigerClan was after you!" he mewed concernedly. After the words were out, he wondered if he was almost right. Was there a battle? Had something really been chasing the young she-cat? A badger? He waited anxiously for the answer. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gullshadow leaped into the battle after her leader. Not much of a battle really, was her first thought. After all, their only opponents were the leader of GaleClan and a... Wait, was that cat blue? She blinked a few times in surprise, was she imagining that? Wait a minute, he's fighting on GaleClan's side. Snap out of it Gullshadow! Snarling, she advanced on the freaky cat, crouching low to the ground, she aimed a blow at his face, hoping to claw his face with her forepaw.

Winterfrost... Ice covered branches of the trees, glistened like fresh dew on the leaves. Snow fluttered from the heavens of her dream, blanketing the rocky ground with another fresh layer. It was leafbare in her dream, yet in her waking moments there wasn't a flake of snow on ground nor a speck of frost upon the leaves. Her mind raced as she shivered, wondering why she was dreaming about snow. Leafbare was a harsh season and not one that any cat should dream about. She flicked her tail lightly across the frost-bitten leaves, her ivory pelt bristling from the cold. Part of her longed to wake up, to rid herself of the coldness that surrounded her now. But another small part of her wondered why she was even dreaming of leafbare at all. Cautiously she padded forward, deeper into GaleClan territory, gazing around her as she went. Was StarClan trying to tell her something by this? If they were, they had a odd way of giving out messages. The snow yielded underneath her paws as she walked, so much that her legs were submerged under the chilly snow. Stopping, Winterfrost's gaze surveyed the territory, hoping to spot another cats pelt against the snow. Her light blue eyes spotted nothing at first but then a flash of red splashed in the corner of her vision and she whipped her head around to face it. A metallic scent drifted into her nose. Blood. The red liquid engulfed her eyesight until red was all that she could see. She stumbled backward, blinded by the redness in her eyes. What did it mean? A fight? Death? GaleClan had suffered so much death already. Why would StarClan make them suffer more? Winterfrost lost her footing and she was spinning in the blood and darkness of death.
Winterfrost woke up with a start, bounding to her paws, fur fluffed out. When all she gazed around her was the GaleClan warriors den, she sighed and allowed her fur to lie flat once more. But something nagged at her like a flea in her side and she knew she wouldn't be able to sleep again. Her sister, Summerfeather, was curled up into a tight ball next her to, her amber-orange splotched sides rising and falling as she breathed. Summerfeather looked undisturbed by her dreams, unlike Winterfrost had been. She could still remember all the snow, the biting cold of leafbare, and more than anything else, she remembered the blood. Winterfrost found it unlikely that StarClan would be trying to tell her something; she was after all, only a warrior. A good one, so Summerfeather told her, but still only a warrior. If anyone deserved to be receiving messages from StarClan, it was Flametail, the deputy and soon to be leader of GaleClan once she received her nine lives from the Lightning-Struck sands. But GaleClan had no medicine cat to decipher the signs from StarClan.... Winterfrost shook her head, pressing her worry over the dream out of her mind. She needed to do something constructive. Hunting. I'll go hunting, she decided as she slid out of the warriors den, only to stop abruptly when she spotted Willowpaw and Rainfall.
"Willowpaw, Rainfall, what's going on?" she asked with concern, bounding over to their side. "Willowpaw, your fur's so fluffed out, it makes you look like a badger's been chasing you!" Was a fight going on somewhere in the Clan's territory? Winterfrost felt her fur bristling once more, only the danger that could come now was real, whereas in her dream it hasn't been. Was it a badger, a fox, or another Clan? Not more fighting, she thought, fear for her Clanmates churning in her belly. Please StarClan. Not more fight. Not yet. We've just lost our leader! But deep down, she knew that that would give the Clans a reason to launch an attack. But she was getting to far ahead of herself. No one had said that a Clan was attacking somewhere on the border... at least not yet. Fear bite at her belly again, but the fear wasn't because she feared the battle that was sure to come. She feared that someone she loved would die in the battle... one of her Clanmate. Like Summerfeather, Rainfall, Willowpaw, Aquafrost... or Flametail. But would StarClan really do that to them? They had already lost their leader to the sickness.... Surely they wouldn't take anyway more cats from them. After all, what had they don't wrong? Winterfrost unsheathed her claws, digging them into the earth. "Willowpaw," she said again, facing the apprentice, "what's happened?" //OOC: Summerfeather said she's going to be posting next. //

It was greenleaf. Green leaves crunched under her heavy paws as her very small body scooted forward. She was hunting. A mouse scrabbled over the undergrowth, chewing nervously on a large nut. Licking her lips, she hunched her shoulders, getting ready to pounce on her prey, when a rustling sounds entered her ears, and the mouse was gone in a heartbeat. Grunting, she shouted, "You cost me prey!" Grumbling to herself, he trotted after the noise. He crouched in the bushes and saw a cat. It was strange to see, but she saw him at gatherings thousands of times before. Duststar. "What are you doing in my territory?" she challenged. But he didn't hear her, or ignored her, and paced along, slim body low. The tom was much bigger than her, she looked more like a newly appointed apprentice than a thirty moon old she-cat. Following his paw steps was his deputy, Ratbite, a mottled she-cat with emerald eyes. Ravenpaw and Gullshadow ran after her. She heard one of them speak of a battle, attacking, and killing, but all of the sudden they started to fade into soft blurs in the greenery. "No! What do they want?" she cried. They were in GaleClan territory! Claws digging into the ground, she was alone once more. Stupid furballs. She must wake up and warn the Clan? But maybe this is no sigh from StarClan. Are you mouse-brained? she thought to herself. Shrugging lightly, she carried on with her hunt, until she had a plentiful heap of warm fresh-kill. A thrush, sparrow, two mice, and a vole. She buried them some until the thickened leaves under her paws, carrying the mice in the jaws, holding them by their tails. Mouth watering, she proudly trotted to the camp with her head held high, chest fluffing up happily. Today was a good day, nothing bad would happen.
Suddenly she woke up from her dream. She didn't know what had awoken her. Everything seemed normal... Then she shivered. She was alone in the warriors den. Even her ivory sister was gone, Winterfrost. The wise sibling always did things right, going on most of the patrols. She thought that Winterfrost would make a great leader, being wise, but she knew that Flametail was meant to be leader of GaleClan. She yawned and stretched out her back legs. Then a scent came into her mouth- fear. Now awake and perked, she crawled out of the den. Amber eyes scanned the clearing, and saw that Willowpaw, an apprentice, and her mentor was Winterfrost, was full of fear, eyes widened. What had happened? Gulping, she padded forward, and saw that Winterfrost was meowing to her. Scared, her heart felt claws by thousands of strong warriors. Did her dream leap to life and come into their dens? Where was Flametail? We must help her! Was she being attacked? Her ears pinned to her cranium, and her paws shuffled forward, until she appeared next to her pure white sister. Her icy blue eyes were wide, and scared looking as she stared down at the young cat. Willowpaw was too young to be a full warrior, and they needed all that they could get today. She hoped that a medicine cat would come soon, they needed one really bad. That was how their old leader died. Nobody here knew how to heal, so they did the best that they could to try. A sting on her shoulder reminded her about the fight with the fox many moons before. It hadn't healed properly, and sometimes it still hurt. Pushing it out of her mind, she tried to make herself be calm for Flametail's sake.
"Yes, Willowpaw, what happened? Where is Flametail?" she growled, almost echoing what Winterfrost said. Her heart pounded in her chest, wondering if the battle was coming to life... And if Flametail was dead. She shivered. If an attack was coming, what if her sister died? She pressed closer to Winterfrost, never wanting to leave her wise sibling. No! Why did a battle have to come today, when we are all so weak? If a battle did come, the attackers chose good when they planned. They just lost their leader. Gulping in air, she hoped that they couldn't hear her heart pounding wildly in her chest, ready to escape, as she waited for what Willowpaw would say.

Willowpaw was all to glad she had found someone. She struggled to get to her feet, but gave up. It was hard to imagine what Aqaufrost would think, but she managed to choke something out anyway. "MireClan, are, at the border. Aquafrost went... Flametail..." the rest was lost as she stumbled and fell back down, exhausted. She had run to much, and to far to get away. Maybe she shouldn't have gone that long way, but gone straight to the camp.
That would mean warriors were in the camp from MireClan, and they would stay here fighting, and Willowpaw would still be to exhausted to help. All she wanted to do was sleep, a very peaceful sleep that no one would interrupt, one she might wake up from in a long time, or not at all. Don't think like that! she told herself angrily, but it was to hard. Willowpaw lay there instead, thinking about the battle and how she should be helping. Aquafrost wanted her to come back, but she couldn't even get up. They had to find their own way there. They had too, for GaleClan, and for her.

Aquafrost snarled and swatted his claws at Gullshadow, fluffing his fur up. "You know I eat cats, didn't you?" He said cautiously to the MireClan warrior, opening his eyes wide so that the light red color of the irises clearly showed.

Flametail dodged Duststar's blow, ducking away just in time, but Ratbite was just behind her, waiting. She felt a sharp pain in her neck, and then everything went black.

Winterfrost... When Willowpaw finished speaking her gasped lyrics, Winterfrost felt her fur prickling like she had bees in her pelt. MireClan! What were those flea-bitten warriors doing in GaleClan territory? Winterfrost hissed, her claws digging into the ground, the fur on her spine prickling. She looked at her apprentice, eyes wide, lips curled, tail lashing. Willowpaw looked so tired, Winterfrost was sure that the apprentice was feeling like her paws were about to fall off after running the distance from the border all the way to camp. Sympathy pinged in her heart out to the apprentice. Winterfrost could remember back when she had been an apprentice, oh so long ago. She remembered being tired from battles and running for reenforments.... Not that time for a remembrance, Winterfrost! Your Clanmates are in danger! You can't start thinking about the past when the present is wrapped in blood! Blood... blood. Blood covering the snow. Blood covering her vision till all she could see was red, red, red. Blood, like in her dream! Had it been some sort of sign from StarClan, foretelling the battle raging at this moment? Aquafrost and Flametail... fighting all alone against the whole MireClan! How in StarClan's name were the two of them going to be able to drive a whole Clan out? Two warriors... against MireClan? Winterfrost know that Flametail was strong, probably the best warrior in all of GaleClan. But would her strength alone, although coupled with Aquafrost, be enough to stay alive till the rest of GaleClan arrived?
Yes! They would live. They had to. StarClan wouldn't be cruel enough to take away another member of their Clan, were they? Winterfrost shiver and the motion reminded her once more of her dream. Ice, snow, and blood. Not a very good combination. Grimacing, Winterfrost shifted her gaze from Rainfall and Willowpaw to Summerfeather, who was now by her side. What if her sister died in the fight? Or Willowpaw? Or Flametail? If any of the warriors passed into the paws of StarClan.... No, Winterfrost reasoned again, StarClan would not do that to GaleClan. They had already suffered enough. Need they suffer more? Finally able to speak, she mewed briskly before she could stop herself, paw kneading the rocky earth, "We have to help them! We can't just stand here like mouse-brains while our deputy... leader," she amended with a quick shake of her head, "and Aquafrost are out there getting attacked." Winterfrost lifted her head, her white-blue eyes piecing. "We have to act. All of us have to go to that border to help Aquafrost and Flametail. I'd rather not have to fight anymore than is necessary, but if fighting is the only way to be able to ensure that we get Flametail and Aquafrost back here alive than that's what we have to do." Winterfrost knew that she was taking command when she shouldn't, and didn't have the authority, but it seemed to her that her Clanmates needed a firm paw in this situation.
Flicking her tail with anticipation, Winterfrost waited to see whether any of the cats disagreed with her, though she could hardly see why they would with a battle raging in their territory. Nonetheless, she wanted to make sure that they were all in the same mind of thinking before heading off into another battle. She just hoped that Flametail and Aquafrost would be able to hold MireClan off until they got there. Please don't let any cat die this time. Please StarClan, she silently prayed with closed eyes. //OOC: Bit of a sketchy post... I didn't know if anyone wanted Winterfrost to arrive at the battle yet or not so I made her stay for now ... xD//

Summerfeather shivered, paws quivering. Much as she wanted to go into battle, she knew it was dangerous, and cats died. And they didn't have a medicine cat, which was the horrible part. If one cat was injured, they had no idea how to heal it. She prayed to StarClan that a healing cat would come soon, and that nobody would die in the battle. They already lost their leader, and now they might lose another cat. Did StarClan have no mercy? Were they at war against GaleClan? She knew that it was unlikely, but a shiver rippled down her spine, making her small body shiver. Her size would be a disadventage today. Any cat could leap on her, even a puny kit could knock her to the floor! But she was strong, with sharp claws. They would win this battle with no scratch upon any of the warriors! But something clawed at her heart, making her confidence drain from her body. Much as she hated to admit it, she knew that GaleClan was that the weak point. Did my dream mean anything? But signs didn't come to regular warriors. Lips curling, she heard her sister meow a few words to the frantic Willowpaw. They had to attack now! While they were sitting on their mouse-brained rumps, Flametail and Aquafrost could be hurt- or even worse, dead. If the leader died, who would pull GaleClan from the pit of weakness? Summerfeather beleived that Winterfrost would make a great leader, and Summerfeather a good deputy. If Winterfrost did become leader, would she choose her sister to be second in command? Trying to push those thoughts away, she stared at Willowpaw. Her eyes were stretched like full-moons, fur bristling, and she knew that it must be true that they were being attacked. Scared, her heart pounded in her chest, wondering who in her Clan would see StarClan today.
Almost as if she was already leader, she growled loudly, "We must send out a patrol- quick." If only they had more warriors. They needed some to gaurd the camp, but they needed cats to help drive out MireClan. Tail twitching, she turned to Winterfrost. "We need to go. Flametail and Aquafrost need us!" Not caring what her sister would say, she raced forward, to the edge of the camp and where she would exit to help her Clanmates. Frightened, she bunched her muscles, tightened them. She wondered if her Clanmates were following her. Probably not. She wasn't even deputy, and she was ordering them around! Shaking, she pinned herself to the ground, wondering what to do next.

Rainfall couldn't believe the two she-cats were still standing around discussing things. "Of course we have to help, no duh!" The longer they waited, the more danger Flametail was in. She could be injured badly by now, or dying. "There's no time to talk, let's go!". The moment he spat out that last sentence, he was gone, bounding through the woods. Finally he ran, with no holds barred. He wasn't going to wait for Winterfrost to give him permission! As he sped towards the MireClan border, his paws brimmed with energy. The terrain became moire mucky, and the brush intensified. Before long, he could hear yowling cats. He sped up, and burst into the clearing, just in time to see Flametail fall. His mind seemed to go blank Flametail, no..., but his body continued. He sprang into the air, letting the momentum of his great speed carry him as he leapt for Ratbite.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Gullshadow drew back suddenly, regaining her composure, she flattened her ears against the skull. She didn't want to appear weak. There's no way this cat could eat other cats, she tried to convince herself, but she wasn't so sure. What a freak! I've never seen a cat like him before. What if... What if he..." She made sure to contain her fear, making sure it didn't register on her face. "Oh yeah? Well I'll be sure to give you a great bellyache on the way down!" spitting, she added "Freak!" Whatever this cat could do, she knew she could put up a fight. He looked scrawny anyways. Catching sight of his flashing red eyes, a falter might have glimmered in her gaze. Not for long though, she shook herself briefly, then launched herself toward his shoulders. With her bulk, she could probably unbalance the skinny, unstable-looking tom.

Winterfrost... The battle was inevitable, Winterfrost know in her heart, and she would try her best like she always did, for the sake of her Clan, even if she would have rather reasoned with MireClan instead. But she would fight. For Flametail and for Aquafrost, she would run to that battle as fast as her paws could carry her and she would fight her hardest. But her limbs seemed to be frozen and unable to move. Her sister, Summerfeather, spoke and after speaking she'd raced through the camp, no doubt heading to the battle. She dug her claws into the ground, tail lashing at her own frustration, as Rainfall spoke before bolting out of the camp entrance to his Clanmates' aides. Rainfall's words rang like an echo in her mind. He did have a point. What was she waiting for anyway? The leader's say to go? Well their would-be leader was out fighting for her life and she was just standing here like a mouse-brained idiot talking! It was time she stopped worrying about which cats would come back alive and start using some teeth and claws, for StarClan's sake. Suddenly, Winterfrost felt the muscles on her legs unfreezing, and she turned to face Willowpaw once more when she was able to move. "Willowpaw," she mewed to the apprentice. "I know you're tired but we're going to need all the cats we can get for this battle." Winterfrost flicked the tip of her tail across the apprentice's ears. "You must have ran a long way though. Rest for a bit if you need to. But hurry back into battle." Not waiting to hear Willowpaw's answer, she raced after Rainfall and her sister. Summerfeather was waiting by the camp entrance, low to the ground. Winterfrost waved her tail briskly to her, telling her to follow, before bolting on fast paws out of the GaleClan camp.
Her territory flashed past her as she ran, no know whether or not Summerfeather was following her. Winterfrost knew that she had to get to the battle, before another cat was killed. It was essential. She had to help her Clan! Bounding over a fall tree trunk, her paws movements reverberating through the land, Winterfrost cleared ever thought from her mind except the battle training she had learned many moons ago from her mentor. With a blank mind, she raced onward, swerving bushes and brambles, taking the shorter route to the border with MireClan. The underbrush around her was starting to thicken and the sound of battle cries reached her ears. Paws prickling, she burst into the clearing where the fighting was taking place. She spotted Rainfall, Ratbite, and Duststar, and Aquafrost's blue-dyed fur in front of Gullshadow. But where was Flametail? Don't worry about that now. She's probably somewhere off a bit... battling another cat. Now is time to fight, not worry! Hissing, lips curled back over her teeth, she dashed into the thick of the battle, ready to turn and fight where she was needed most....

Aquafrost made no attempt to avoid the attack, but reared halfway up onto his front legs and bit fiercely at Gullshadow's shoulder as she slammed into him. He was knocked over onto his side, but held on fiercely to whatever he had. Was it a chunk of fur? Or had he actually gotten a good bite?
-- -- -- --
Suddenly Ratbite came into view, dragging the dead GaleClan deputy. She dropped her in the center of the fight and yowled loudly. All but a few of the MireClan cats broke away from their fights and formed a half circle behind her. "We have won this fight," she said. "GaleClan is now leaderless. I now claim this land for MireClan, from here to where the next tributary joins the mainstream."

Her heart pounded in her chest, trying to escape like a trapped bird. Her stomach churned. Her small size would be easy prey for a large cat like Ratbite. Her mouth opened, she stared at Rainfall, Willowpaw, and Winterfrost with fear. She knew what to do- run out and help Flametail and Aquafrost- but she felt petrified, frozen in her spot. Amber eyes scanned the clearing, looking for some movement that came from one of her Clanmates- anything. Her paws felt like unmovable boulders, rooted into the ground like the tallest oak tree. Suddenly, she saw a flicker from Rainfall, the GaleClan warrior, and heard his meow race into her pinned ears, and he flooded past her with much wind, making her fur ruffle. At least he was brave enough to leave. Gulping in air, she narrowed her eyes at Winterfrost, expecting her to go after him, but she was still. She seemed to hesitate like Summerfeather. Her wise gaze was all for Willowpaw, her apprentice, as she stared at her. Shivering, she stood up on her small paws, frame trembling. She was about to fight. Listening to her sister's soft words, she felt a burst of pride. If Flametail... died, then there was an obvious choice to be leader. Her sister. For another heartbeat she hoped that Winterfrost would choose her to be deputy, but shook it off. Aquafrost also deserved to be second-in-command, along with Rainfall. They were both great warriors, strong, with large muscles and long legs. She saw her sister stir, then tear past her, paws churning quickly, leaving Summerfeather in the dust. I remember when we never left each other behind in battle. It's as if... she is different somehow. What's making her like this? she wondered, but all of the sudden she burst from her stand, claws digging into the smooth mud, paws racing on the bristling grass. Would they be to late? She pictured mats of fur, the forest floor sticky with warm blood. Shaking it off, she continued until she heard the yowls of many cats fighting.
She slowed down to a pace, where she found the heat of the battle. Summerfeather saw Ratbite, Duststar, Gullshadow, Swiftshadow, Aquafrost, and Winterfrost. Her heart raced as she saw Ratbite lay a motionless black body under the deputy of MireClan. Flametail. Her heart skipped a beat, mouth opened wide. Fear clutched her heart, drowning her visions, but she torn past it. She heard the loud growl of Ratbite. The MireClan cats stopped the fight and formed a circle around her. Shocked, her amber eyes seemed to bug out of her. "No..." Summerfeather whispered. "No!" she yowled loudly. A warrior wasn't supposed to kill another cat in battle! Did Ratbite have no respect for the warrior code? It wasn't something that you stuck to when you felt like it; you had to follow it like a monster on the Thunderpath. "How could you?" She asked under her breath toward StarClan. They took two leaders from them in only a moon or less. Did they want war against GaleClan?

Winterfrost... She had been just about to fling herself to Aquafrost's side to aid him against Gullshadow -- whether he need it or not -- when the sound of Ratbite's voice and words stopped her in her tracks. Paws skidding to a halt, claws digging furiously in the mud to stop herself from running any further, she whipping around to face the mottled she-cat. She let out a hiss of refusal as the MireClan deputy finished speaking. Winterfrost was about to speak what she thought about what Ratbite said when her mind froze on the deputy's first sentence. GaleClan is now leaderless. Immediately, her white-blue eyes snapped to the spot on the ground where a black cat lay. From where she stood, Winterfrost could see the ginger fur on middle of the cat's tail, the cream bands near the tip. Winterfrost recognized the she-cat laying on the ground at Ratbite's paws at first glance. Flametail. No! Her mind screamed. No StarClan, no. Not Flametail! Winterfrost felt like she was in the coldness of her dream again, like she was shivering during leaf-bare, only now the coldness was gripping her heart with its icy claws instead of her body. She felt numb inside, and she couldn't bring herself to speak now that she saw the evidence that GaleClan was indeed leaderless, right in front of her. She wanted to howl to StarClan, asking them why they were doing this to GaleClan. What had GaleClan done to displease them so much that they would take away two leaders right after the next? First Sacrificestar, now Flametail. Was the next descended leader supposed to die too? And who would it be? Would StarClan send down a sign saying who would be leader next?
Winterfrost shivered, eyes still locked on Flametail's motionless body. She willed her leader to get up, although she already knew from Ratbite's words that Flametail was already with StarClan. Ratbite's words.... A snarl rumbled in Winterfrost chest. How dare that she-cat claim something so abrupt like that? But GaleClan was leaderless... how could they continue to fight when they didn't have leader? Flametail hadn't even gotten her nine lives and she was already dead. She would have made a wonderful leader. And now she never would. How could GaleClan win against MireClan now, when they were so weak? The hiss that had been building in her belly escaped past her teeth as all but a few MireClan cats gathered around in a circle around Flametail and Ratbite and she felt herself able to speak. "No!" She could not stop herself from uttering the cry, echoing her sister's. Not Flametail. Oh StarClan, why did you have to take Flametail? She thought before gathering her composure and taking a step forward in the circle. "This isn't over till GaleClan says it is." Her tail lashed, her unsheathed claws gripped the ground, longing to grip a MireClan cat’s fur instead. "You may have won this battle, MireClan, but let me insure you all, this land will be GaleClan's once more, so if I were you I wouldn't get too attached." She spat out the last word like it was a disgusting piece of fresh-kill on her tongue. "GaleClan is not weak. We will rebuild ourselves against our losses and once more be the strongest of the Clans. And then," She paused, shifted her light blue eyes from cat to cat. "And then this territory will be GaleClan's once more." Just as soon as StarClan decides who will lead GaleClan into that new era.
